1. Snowshoeing
Snowshoeing is a low-impact sport that invites you to get out into the natural beauty of the Red River area! First, you will need to be prepared with waterproof shoes, warm clothes, a pair of snowshoes of course, and poles if you so desire. Any hill will do to bring you the family fun you desire but the best places for free winter fun in town are the hills located next to the Public Library, Mallette Park, and St. Edwin’s Catholic Church. 4. Shop on Red River’s Main Street
Take a break from the slopes and pick up a shopping bag! Main Street is lined with unique boutiques and shops offering clothing, jewelry, souvenirs, ski gear, and more. Warm up on a winter day by exploring the shops and picking up a souvenir or gifts for your friends and family. 5. Stay in and Order Out
