- Large Metal Eyeglasses: A sculpture of large eyeglasses near some brightly colored rabbits, an octopus, and a giant puffer fish.
- Dennis Hopper’s Grave: Dennis Hopper died in May 2010 and was buried, by choice, in a little New Mexican desert cemetery. The grave includes a thick wooden cross and many biker bandanas.
- Cattle Crossing UFO Sign: Several cattle crossing highway signs with UFOs hovering over the cattle.
- Classical Gas Museum: This museum was built by a former scientist to resemble a rustic service station from a bygone era. Johnnie Meier, the creator, describes himself as “a roadside preservationist” and regularly greets visitors.
- Old Aztec Mill Museum: A grist mill filled with local oddities, including artifacts from the early 1800s and Cimarron history. The museum also includes a walking tour of Old Town Cimarron.
- Lucien Maxwell Statue: In the 1800s, Lucien Maxwell owned more than 2 million acres in New Mexico. The sculpture has Maxwell sitting down with a rifle across his knees.
- New Mexico’s Electric Chair: At the Santa Fe Trail Museum, you will find New Mexico’s first electric chair and a shoe belonging to Robert Wadlow, the world’s tallest man.
- RoboCop Miner Statue: A 10-foot-tall statue of a miner that was described as “Robo Cop all shot up.” It is found outside of a hospital in Raton, New Mexico, that specializes in treating injured New Mexico miners.
